Also, this scheme is optimized for MacOS 8.5 and 32-bit icons. If you don’t have OS 8.5, the scheme’s folders won’t look very appealing. I apologize for this, but my schemes will always be kept in line with the latest display technologies.
••• Some History •••
Green Tech is another of my top-favorite creations. I like it because it retains that “square” look, but it still has a few surprises and quirks in the main design. It’s a sleek, fast scheme (IMO), and I think it’s one of the most usable KAL 2.0 schemes out there right now.
The main layout skeleton was created with ClarisWorks 5 — nothing fancy here, just black outlines. From there I went into Photoshop to apply color and texture (with BladePro). I exported the images with clip2cicn, pasting them into ResEdit. Then I tweaked and defined wnd’s with ResEdit and Pink Elephants.
The Desktop image was made with TextureMill, scaled to 64 by 64 pixels in GraphicConverter, then saved as a ppat resource. I then pasted this into the scheme (not using the clut from GraphicConverter).
